Central Kentucky is a great place to live and work for anyone in the healthcare field, including occupational therapists and physical therapists. This is due in part to the area's geological diversity, which provides a variety of opportunities for outdoor recreation. The Red River Gorge Geological Area, for example, is a popular destination for rock climbing, hiking, and camping. In addition to its natural beauty, Central Kentucky is also home to a number of vibrant towns and cities. Lexington, the second-largest city in the state, is a major center for healthcare, education, and culture.

There are many fun seasonal events. Keeneland, a world-renowned thoroughbred race track, is also located in the bluegrass! Central Kentucky also offers all four seasons, with distinct weather patterns that make each season unique. Summers are hot and humid, with average highs in the 80s and 90s Fahrenheit. Winters are chilly, with low temperatures that make the snowy season beautiful. Springs and autumns are mild and pleasant, making them ideal for outdoor activities!
